West Harbour Medical Centre was started by Doctor Philip Haggo in 1987. WHMC has won multiple awards year after year for meeting numerous health targets set by the Ministry of Health. We are a moderate sized practice, with an experienced team of 5 GPs, 3 nurses and 3 receptionists, some of whom have been working here for more that two decades. Stable relationship is the key to continuity of quality care, and we at WHMC take pride in this. Our practice is fully owned by GP owners, which means that we have vested interest in keeping you healthy and giving you the best long-term care.
We are proud to announce that we are now a Foundation accredited practice. The Foundation programme represents a collection of legislative, regulatory and clinical requirements for all general practices in Aotearoa New Zealand. It represents a nationally consistent benchmark by which a practice can measure its current quality of care and progress toward health equity outcomes.
WHMC is a low-cost access practice, which means our charges are kept highly affordable. We take pride in maintaining high standard of health care. We have advanced equipment in clinic, with clean comfortable premises and plentiful free onsite, as well as off street, car parking.
