NO-SHOW/LATE CANCELLATION

When a patient cancels without giving enough notice or fails to attend an appointment, they prevent another patient from being seen. Across the nation, we are short of medical providers, and it is very unreasonable if even a single appointment is wasted.

To help you remember your appointment date and time, we have started an auto text reminder service. If you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment, please notify us as soon as possible. You must contact us at least 24 hours before your scheduled arrival time for any rescheduling requests.

For a pre-enrolled patient: If you fail to provide us with 24 hours prior notice or fail to attend an appointment, then, for all age group patients (including children), there is a penalty charge of $30 (for a 15-minute booked consult) and $90 (for a 30-minute booked consult), unless another patient has been able to take your slot.

For a newly enrolled patient : If you fail to provide us with 24 hours prior notice or fail to attend an appointment, then, for all age group patients, there is a penalty charge of $50.

Any outstanding amount must be settled prior to any further appointment bookings.

OVERDUE ACCOUNTS/UNPAID FEES

PAYMENT ON THE DAY

Our practice has updated its payment policy in line with standard procedures adopted by many medical practices. Payment for consultations is required on arrival. Unpaid fees will incur an administrative charge of $10 if not settled within 7 days of the invoice date. The practice reserves the right to decline services where outstanding fees exist. Any unpaid fees remaining after one month may be referred to our debt collection agency, at which point an additional $100 administrative fee will apply to cover collection costs.

We kindly ask all patients to ensure fees are paid on time. If you are experiencing financial hardship, please speak with our reception team. They will be happy to discuss suitable payment options with you.

If a patient attends a consultation but does not receive the requested treatment, this may be due to the doctor determining that the request is not in the patient’s best medical interest (for example, a specific prescription medication). In such cases, the consultation fee will still apply.

For your convenience, we can assist in setting up automatic payment arrangements to allow payments to be made over time.

BEING LATE TO YOUR APPOINTMENT

We strive to see all patients promptly, so we kindly request that everyone arrives on time for their appointments. If a patient arrives late or exceeds the 15-minute booking window, it can disrupt our appointment schedule and cause delays for all subsequent appointments. Therefore, our policy states that if you are late, we may only be able to accommodate the remaining time within the original 15-minute booking. However, if you are significantly late (e.g., more than 7 minutes), we may need to ask you to reschedule your appointment.

Sometimes, we encounter medical emergencies and complex cases requiring urgent extended attention. This is beyond our control and may result in wait times for you. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by such delays and appreciate your understanding.
